Famous blogger and book author, Shel Israel brings his considerable skills and insights to the writing of his new book Twitterville How Businesses Can Thrive in the New Global Neighborhoods. As he researched and wrote the book, he laid the process open to those who follow him on Twitter. If you followed his tweets, you knew exactly what chapters he was writing on which day. Shel said that he was amazed by how generous people were in sharing knowlege, contacts and great stories. I have a feeling Shel is someone I should talk to since I am attempting to crowdsource some of the material for my Twitter documentary too. Besides, Twitterville would definitely be great reference material for this film.:)
Social media, including books and documentaries are no longer private matters, but need draw on collective wisdom and absorb all useful ideas. Maybe we can call it win-win situation, and it must be the future treads.
I want to congratulate Shel @shelisrael on the warm reception to his book, Twitterville. Besides the Twitterverse, mainstream media such as the Financial Times has also weighed in with good reviews.
Shel has such great insights to share. I especially like his thoughts on what makes Twitter revolutionary: "Twitter allows people to act more naturally than any other tool that precedes it" Spot on!
